I guess the older I get the more I feel the need to weed out those people in my life that do not bring any meaning or happiness to me or my family. Whether it be friends or family I feel like I don't need unnecessary drama. And yet at the same time I want to help them see the good things in life. It is a constant struggle for me. It's like you make that good connection with a new friend and then you find out they are the opposite way after awhile. After years of feeling like there is something wrong with me I am coming to realize that I can't be responsible for others behavior. You can offer to help them but that doesn't matter if they aren't going to accept it. I feel that people just fly by in life without knowing true friendship and they lose so much out of life. There are some people I just don't understand.....
Being a military spouse and being uprooted every few years, I have had my fair share of friends come and go mostly out of cattiness and ignorance. But I also feel that every person that comes in or out of my life teaches me something new. I know it is Heavenly Fathers way of keeping me on my toes. So in a weird way I am grateful for them. I often talk to my husband about how I struggle with these feelings and he offers advice, love and support. I wish I lived closer to those that are close to me but that isn't the case but that is ok because I know they will remain close. I know many women struggle with the same issues I do. I just wanted to share my feelings. I am so very grateful for the wonderful friends I do have (even though they live far away) and my beautiful family that I thank God for everyday of my life.
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
My hope for those that I come in contact with is that they find happiness and friendship in their lives. Life is too short for negativity or drama and we all need to not take for granted what God has given us. Love you all!! ~Nicole

The life of a two year old.....what a sweet time it is!
I am loving the age that our beautiful Isabelle is at because to her all the small things matter! For her its the excitement of going potty on the big girl potty, seeing birds flying in the sky, seeing the blue water (or agua as she says), going to the bx or walmart, watering the flowers in our garden. For us its seeing the joy in her eyes as she enjoys the small things in life. I don't think I have ever felt so rewarded in my life as I am now as a mother. To have a being love you and trust you unconditionally is just so amazing. I am in awe of what a beautiful child we are blessed with. Heavenly Father was sure looking out for us when he sent us Isabelle. She is such a special little girl in our life. I don't even remember what life was like before her....how did I stay busy during the day...I don't even know. Anyways, I just want to share some pictures of recent out and abouts!
